Children Services has a 24 hour emergency service with a worker on-call 7 days/week to respond to emergency needs outside regular agency hours.

Reports of physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect received during business hours will immediately be addressed by a staff of trained investigators. The protective case worker on-call is responsible for assessing situations to determine action necessary to alleviate imminent risk situations.   Investigations are limited to 30-45 days and at the end of the investigation the case will be closed or transferred to the Family Services Unit.
